Cancellation: The request for the cancellation of a payment order, irrespective of its value date, can be granted only if the payment order has not yet been executed or advised by the receiving bank, or if the beneficiary assents to such cancellation in case the payment order has already been executed or advised.
Stop Payment of Cheques: If the stop payment of cheque order arrives with the drawee bank within the period for presentation of cheques set out in Austrian law, i.e., depending on the place of issue of the cheque, 20 days after date of issue (Europe and the Mediterranean), 70 days after date of issue (overseas), the bank is not obliged to observe the stop payment.
